WHAT IS COLOSTRUM? Colostrum is the fluid manufactured by the body prior to the production of mother's milk during the first 24-48 hours after birth. Research has shown that Colostrum has powerful life-supporting immune and growth factors that insure the health and vitality of the newborn. Research has shown that milk proteins that have been pre-digested through lacto-fermentation are more efficiently absorbed as those of non-fermented milk. During the fermentation process many digestive enzymes are created that aid in the assimilation of food nutrients.
